Item Description
An interesting and deceptive trio of unusually etched, lustrous, gemmy indicolite teal-green tourmaline crystals from an unknown Minas Gerais pegmatite. They look nearly black under normal light, but back lighting reveals the gemmy, pretty blue-green color. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8848 and acquired from the Lidstroms's at the 1979 Tucson Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Unusual older tourmaline. Total mass is 56.89 carats or over 11 grams.
