Item Description
A strangely, heavily etched, broken and healed, bi-colored tourmaline from recent finds at the famous Pederneira Mine. The broken and healed break is obvious in the sides of the gemmy and lustrous, green to blue-green to teal-blue crystals. The break has caused the crystal to bend. Most of the interior of the large crystal has been etched away, as has a striking, significant portion of the sidecar crystal. The highly lustrous termination is scalloped and the backlit photo highlights the gemminess and beautiful teal-blue color. The base of the piece is very intensely etched. The crystals have been partially resorbed, as evidenced by the chatoyant character of the tourmalines. A nifty and most unusual tourmaline from the Pederneira.
