Esperite is a rare complex calcium lead zinc silicate related to beryllonite and trimerite and the famous Franklin Mine is the Type Locality. This old-time large and hefty piece is composed of zones of off-white esperite with a mostly massive, granular franklinite matrix. Classic, excellent and rare combination material. Brilliant yellow-green fluorescence with a bit of red calcite and a purple fluorescent. Ex George Elling Collection. Valued $500.
