Item Description
Striking 4-color fluorescence under both LW and SW UV light on this impressive large and rich old-time sawed and polished zinc ore slab from the famous Franklin Mine. The slab hosts much very rare white Esperite (Type Locality). Primary fluorescents include: Esperite, greenish-yellow; Willemite, green; rare Hardystonite, violet-blue (Type Locality) and just a bit of calcite, red. Much black Franklinite and rich red Zincite is in this specimen. Ex University of Arizona Collection. An OLD CLASSIC!!! And a large combination piece, rare today.
