Item Description
Rare and rich Erythrite, a hydrated Co-arsenate, from this historic mining district. Seams and patches of lustrous magenta microcrystals attractively cover the ore matrix, which includes rich crusts of Erythrite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6510 and acquired from the Cisneros' at the 1971 MSSC Show. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). An outstanding, rare and rich old-time specimen.
