Erythrite

Item Description

This is a very attractive, deep magenta colored miniature composed of numerous Erythrite crystal clusters across the top and a matrix composed of solid, interlocking, Erythrite making up a very colorful piece. Many dozens of Erythrite sprays made up of 3 to 6mm, bladed, intense magenta, translucent to opaque, lustrous crystals are splayed out with good separation. Patches of well formed, smaller crystals are found on the bottom of the piece as well. There is a little bruising to the tips of some of the crystals. The sides of the piece show tightly interlocking crystals of massive, reflective Erythrite crystals to nearly a centimeter. Erythrite is a cobalt arsenate hydrate and this piece is from old finds from the 1960s. From the noted European and worldwide collection of Kurt Hefendehl
