Item Description
A balanced amount of matrix acts as a natural pedestal and hosts several, dramatic, rich magenta Erythrite crystal clusters on this engaging piece from Bou Azzer. The randomly oriented crystal groups atop this piece are composed of 1 to 2 cm, dramatic, pristine, fan-like to parallel grouped, translucent, elongate diamond-shaped crystals. The crystals are a rich magenta and are truly captivating. The crystals are distinctly monoclinic in form and have a definite waxy luster to them. Since erythrite is such a soft mineral, specimens often have minor bruising associated with them, however, this piece has very little which makes it so attractive and so desirable! The brilliant luster and rich color are just outstanding. The quality and dramatic structure of this piece really make it stand out too! This is a stunning miniature of high quality. From the numbering, Dr. Pohl most likely bought this from the 1980s era finds here. It is a true classic, the likes of which are seldom seen today. Valued $2500-plus.
