Item Description
This Erythrite is not from Morocco, but from a cobalt-nickel mine in Mexico! Bright pink to magenta, clusters of acicular, crystal clusters cover much of the tan-orange Goethite-bearing matrix. This is an exceptional piece for the Sara Alicia Mine as the Erythrite from here commonly occurs as fibrous tufts of crystals that are often bruised whereas this piece displays small, yet distinct, 1 to 2 cm, scintillating crystals everywhere! These Mexican Erythrites are a very uncommon thing on the market, as this is old material from over 50 years ago! Ex. Kurt Hefendehl and Martin Zinn collections (per Kurt's handmade catalog).
