Item Description

Ernstite is a rare hydrated phosphate found in oxidized granitic pegmatites and is related to eosphorite. Specimens from any locality are quite rare. The earthy brown sharply terminated, tabular spearpoint is complete all-around. Nearly pristine, with only trivial periphery wear at the base. This is an exceptionally fine example of the rare species from the Bob Trimingham Collection and was obtained from respected Brazilian dealer Carlos Barbosa.
