Item Description

This is a fine quality, classic pseudomorph of Ernstite after Eosphorite from the well-known locality at Linopolis. Ernstite is a rare hydrated phosphate found in oxidized granitic pegmatites and is related to Eosphorite chemically. Specimens from any locality are quite rare throughout Brazil, but the finest ones are those from Linopolis. The earthy brown sharply terminated, tabular "fan"-shaped group with multiple spear-point terminations is complete-all-around. This is an exceptionally fine example of the rare species from the from the prestigious pseudomorph collection of Dr. Wouter van Tichelen of Belgium.
