Epistilbite (superb color) with Heulandite

Item Description

A wonderful association specimen from Jalgaon, the source of some of the finest examples of crystallized zeolites (and associated minerals) in the world. This piece is from a discovery in the early to mid 2000s, and features superb quality, very well-formed, sharp, lustrous monoclinic crystals of rich salmon colored Epistilbite measuring up to 1.2 cm associated with elegant, slightly curved, translucent pearly crystal groups of very pale golden colored Heulandite (presumably Heulandite-Ca) measuring up to 4.1 cm, sitting atop drusy white Quartz/Chalcedony on dark basalt matrix. I love how the Heulandite crystals look like wings flaring up from the base of the specimen. The piece displays beautifully as you can see from the photo/video and for the composition, quality and superb color of the Epistilbite crystals, this is a really showy and fine quality example of a zeolite species that is rarely seen in such fine crystallized pieces.
