Epidote with Quartz (Stoudt Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive and striking CABINET cluster of large, blocky, lustrous and GEMMY, olive-green epidote crystals from the famous Green Monster Mountain of Alaska. The large, gemmy, blocky epidote crystal is 4.0 x 3.2 cm and the doubly terminated crystal is 4.5 cm. The internal fire is captivating. The epidotes are nicely accented by a scattering of quartz needles. A visually dramatic specimen. The DT crystal is pristine. A contact, with no damage, is noted on the right side of the large, blocky crystal termination. The rest of the major crystals are in good shape and the periphery damage is not much of a detraction. Try to find another Green Monster epidote of this size and quality in the range under $1000 or so! It is hard to find...Ex Stoudt Collection and purchased at the 1988 Tucson Show.
