Item Description
The famed Green Monster Mountain locality in Alaska is one of the great Epidote-producing localities in the world. The superb crystals with the textbook crystallization, high luster and deep greenish-black color are iconic. This piece is a lovely toenail sized specimen featuring very sharp, highly lustrous, dark green (nearly black) prismatic crystals of Epidote measuring up to 2.3 cm, associated with very gemmy, colorless, prismatic hexagonal Quartz crystals, sitting on a bit of matrix. No major damage, and very attractive in person.
