Item Description

This is the first specimen of Apatite that we've had to offer from Mount Tallac. This small cabinet specimen features many fine quality, razor sharp, highly lusrous, deep greenish-black colored crystals measuring up to 6 mm which are associated with small white hexagonal crystals of Apatite on massive Epidote and Quartz matrix. A really cool combination / association specimen that would make a nice addition to any suite of California minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12987). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
