Item Description

Epidote specimens from this obscure Hawthorne District claim are RARE and this is a very fine combination example. The sculptural tapered cluster of highly lustrous, parallel-growth, olive-green epidote prisms is aesthetically capped by several sharply terminated, water-clear quartz points, to 1.7 cm, which adds lots of pizzazz. Complete all-around, the prism faces are essentially pristine. The terminations on one side are pristine and the ones on the other side are broken. The broken tips are nearly out-of-sight in the preferred display view. A very showy and rare 360-degree epidote from this uncommon locale. A MUST for the Nevada or species collector.
