Item Description

A RARE, rich and very showy combination plate from Nuristan. Two generations of scintillating, gem, light and dark olive-green epidote crystals, to 1.0 cm, are festooned on the plate. Clusters of intergrown, elongated, lustrous and translucent, green to black, vesuvianite prisms, to 1.5 cm, are attractively scattered about. The right side hosts dense fields of lustrous, blackish-green "books" of clinochlore plates. AND the top-right hosts beautiful, gem, orange-red, grossular garnet dodecahedrons, to 4 mm. ALL of these species are rare to very uncommon in Nuristan. The former dealer label lists Nuristan and a $475 price for this extreme combination rarity.
