Epidote (very slightly magnetic)

This piece dates back to a discovery in 2011. Unlike the Epidotes from places like Tormiq, Alchuri, Hashupa or even Quetta, these pieces might be the most unusual and interesting Epidote crystals from any locality in Pakistan. These pieces do not have the characteristic thin prismatic appearance seen in other Pakistani locales, but rather are opaque and often thick / blocky, with a notably darker green hue. Additionally they have a distinctive secondary coating of what I'm told is Magnetite, as these crystals actually show a weak magnetism when exposed to magnetic objects. This small cabinet sized display specimen features a group of thick, stout, orthorhombic crystals which textbook form and great three-dimensional appeal. It is nearly a complete "floater", as it's crystallized all the way around, with only one point of attachment or separation mark on the bottom / back side. Most of the crystals are doubly-terminated, which is not common for Epidote in my experience. A very good bigger specimen of this now difficult to find material. It is clear that this material is no longer being found, and virtually nothing is available on the market now, so pick this one up as these are unique and interesting for the species.
