Item Description

Epidote variety withamite is the very rare pink, manganoan-rich variety of epidote found in only a few localities worldwide and is named for Mr. Witham, who found the material at Glencoe, Scotland, in 1825. The specimen of essentially solid, olive-green, epidote needles hosts several blebs of withamite and a couple of olive-green crystals, that are partially withamite. Rare material. Ex Tony Ellis and Wes Parker Collections.
