Item Description
Piemontite is the manganese-rich red variety of epidote and is not a separate species, as fomerly thought. Lutrous, euhedral, deep red crystals are jauntily set on the lustrous, mounded matrix. This showy and excellent thumbnail is from an uncommon Swedish locale in Lappland. Ex Schlichter Collection.
