Epidote (Stoudt Coll.)

Item Description

This sharp, fine, older epidote crystal is from a lesser-known epidote locality in Baja California, south of the resort town of Ensenada. The prism faces and sharp chisel termination are highly lustrous, with most faces having a light frosting. The crystal is actually slightly translucent - you can see flashes of green where light penetrates the lustrous faces or there is lighter olive-green epidote. Complete all-around. Two termination edges are lightly bruised and one edge has a contact, with no damage, per se. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 960.
