Epidote (rare locality)

Item Description

Epidotes from the United States are not terribly common in fine crystals, and the specimens from near Hawthorne are some of the best in the country after the fine pieces from Green Monster Mountain, Alaska. This piece is a fairly good group of crystals with smooth, sharp, lustrous, greenish-black faces and only a bit of damage. The terminations have some contacts, but the majority of the specimen is in good shape. It's a showy specimen and a great overall piece of this now hard to find material. If you collect Epidote or minerals from the western US, don't miss out on this one.
