Item Description
We've only seen a handful of specimens from this elusive metamorphic locality in British Columbia, and we've never seen an Epidote before this one! This piece features many highly lustrous, prismatic, very dark green colored crystals of Epidote measuring up to 6 mm long sitting atop gemmy to translucent white / colorless Quartz crystals on matrix. Admittedly, it's not a world-class mineral specimen, but it's an incredibly rare locality piece for any Canadian mineral enthusiast or a fan of worldwide Epidotes. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11331). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
