Item Description

A classic Chinese Mineral from the period around 2010-2015, this dramatic display specimen features a "vertical ribbon" or "vertical worm" of bright, sparkling epidote crystals, 8 cm from top to bottom, that looks like it is climbing out of a nest of spiky quartz crystals that splay out to either side for unique aesthetics. Epidote crystals individually are small but unusually translucent, with great luster and intense dark-green color, all the more strong as contrasted on a matrix of Quartz crystals. We have seen hundreds of specimens from this area in the past - but this one is unique, as well as big, dramatic, and simply pretty. Donated by Jordi Fabre/Fabre Minerals. Valued at $2000-2500.
