Epidote on Magnetite

Item Description

A striking and uncommon combination from this less well-known deposit. Sculptural fans of pistachio-green epidote blades are densely and artistically festooned on the mounded matrix massive magnetite with a few sharp crystals peering on on the right. There are also a few small calcite rhombs along the front edge. Showy and excellent combination material from an East Coast Collection. Specimens such as this date to the late 1990s.
