A classic and aesthetic intergrown cluster of mirror-bright tabular epidote crystals from this renowned locale. Gorgeous flashes of gemmy olive-green are scattered on the very dark olive-green crystals. All of the primary terminations are pristine, with most striking grooved faces embedded with byssolite needles. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, the lower side car crystal has a broken tip. The 4 lines of superb printing on the 9 mm label on the back indicates this piece was part of a collection, that was auctioned in 1908! Ex Howard Belsky Collection. Excellent old-time material. $12.50 in 1908 was expensive! Value today??
