Epidote (Jaime Bird Coll.)

Item Description

This sharp, fine, older epidote crystal is from a lesser-known epidote locality in Baja California, south of the resort town of Ensenada. The prism faces and sharp chisel termination are highly lustrous. The crystal is actually slightly translucent - you can see flashes of green where light penetrates the lustrous faces. The sides were contacted against other crystals, but this remains a showy and highly representative example of the species and locale. Ex Jaime Bird Collection.
