Epidote (Hefendehl Coll.)

Item Description

A robust cabinet-sized cluster of three attached fan sprays of deep green Epidote crystals. This is a handsome piece composed of dozens upon dozens of lustrous, dark green Epidotes in three distinct, fan-like groups. The largest fan has crystals from 2 to 4 inches in length and the other two smaller fans average 2 to nearly 3 inches in length. The terminations are all in very good condition which is unusual for these, particularly on a piece this large! Each spray, especially the large one, would make a fine specimen on its own, but the combination of three fans like this creates an outstanding aesthetic specimen. This is an exceptional piece from this major find of the mid-1990s, brought to market by Harvey Gordon. For the size, you cannot ask for better of this classic old style!
