Epidote (from urban consatruction site) ex. Irv Brown

This is a significant California locality specimen, better in person, with lustrous green crystals of epidote to 2 inches in thick cleaves! This is said to be one of the finest pieces recovered in a freak find while excavating along what is now Fallbrook's main street, in urban Fallbrook California. It was brought to market by Cal Graeber back in the 1990s and ended up in the Irv Brown collection. We purchased it from Irv and document this on our label. A bizarre find for an urban-locality specimen, no more have been found since. Fallbrook is the home of a number of mineral dealers, or no doubt this would not have made it to market at all and we never would have known about them. Valued $900-1200
