The Epidotes from Green Monster Mountain, Alaska are some of the finest examples of the species in the world. Typically, people think of these specimens as featuring large individual blocky crystals, but there are lesser-known finds that produced beautiful crystallized "fan"-shaped groups, similar to those from Pampa Blanca, Peru. This piece is a wonderful example of these beautiful "fans" featuring a group of dark greenish-black, sharp, lustrous, thin prismatic crystals, free of matrix. A lovely specimen from this historic locality.
