Epidote (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

Item Description

A great large thumbnail / toenail specimen of the famous Green Monster Epidotes. This piece comprises a deep green, fairly thick, lustrous, prismatic crystal of Epidote with a fine termination associated with Quartz. It is in good condition overall, though it is contaced on the side, but displays well. A cool old time U.S. Epidote specimen from this classic locality. This piece comes to us from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. The piece is mounted in a "Perky" box with a typed label from Wulff's collection on the base.
