Epidote (ex Pat Gross and Rich Kosnar Collections)

Item Description

This micro specimen features a few sharp, well-formed, dark green Epidote crystals sitting on matrix. From the collection of Rich Kosnar who obtained the piece in the early 1990s from noted New Jersey collector, Pat Gross. The piece remains in Pat's original micro mounting box, with her hand-written label. Originally, Pat thought this piece was Gahnite, then changed it to Zircon, and finally wrote Epidote at the bottom of her label. I have viewed and photographed the crystals under the microscope, and I am certain they are Epidote.
