Epidote (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A seldom seen specimen of Epidote from Wadh (sometimes spelled Wadd) that resembles the "fan"-like "sprays" often seen in Peru. This piece features dozens of thin, prismatic, dark greenish-black Epidote crystals which are growing on a partially etched, off-white colored crystal of Feldspar. Very attractive, and essentially damage free. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13157). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
