Epidote (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

These are true classics from this famous mine which is most well known for its impressive Epidote specimens. This miniature sized piece features deep green, sharp, blocky, "chisel"-shaped Epidote crystals with good form and luster. The larges Epidote measures up to 8 mm. I see less and less of this material on the market every year, and specimens like this are certainly hard to find now. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12378). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
