Specimens from this less well-known locale located on well-known Garnet Hill are uncommon and are seldom on the market. This is an excellent for the locale and for California equant epidote crystal. The highly lustrous, striated crystal is mostly black with some flashes of olive-green translucence. The etched termination faces add much character. Complete all-around, the bit of noted edge wear on the display view is certainly only a modest detraction. Ex Helen & Raul Madrid Collection.
