Epidote (ex Dr. Miguel Romero Collection)

Item Description

A fantastic and hard to find stout, thick, blocky, very sharp and lustrous crystal of deep black-green Epidote from the famous locality at Green Monster Mountain, Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. This crystal is in superb condition with notably smooth, well-formed faces. If I'm not mistaken, this is actually a twin, as I can clearly see a common plane running through the length of the crystal (see the second photo). Good quality and showy for this now hard to find material. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #2356).
