Epidote (doulby-terminated) (ex Willard Wulff Collection)

Item Description

This is a very attractive old time Epidote specimen from one of the most famous localities in Alaska. A wonderful group of very sharp and highly lustrous, well-formed prismatic dark green crystals of Epidote with "chisel"-shaped terminations. The piece is nearly a "floater" as the crystals are doubly-terminated, but there is a contact on the back. No damage on the display side. This piece comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936.
