An attractive small miniature sized specimen of the classic Epidote crystals from the world famous Knappenwand. A parallel group of sharp, rich green to golden colored, prismatic, very lustrous crystals free of matrix. Overall in very good shape, with only a slight amount of edge wear. A wonderful specimen of this well known material from Austria. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10460). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A beautiful and attractive old-timer from this famous locale.
