From the most famous Epidote locality in the Czech Republic, here we have a great representation of the famous Sobotin (Sobotina) specimens. The locality at Pfarrerb has produced some iconic Epidotes, though they are rarely seen on the market or in collections. This piece features with rich pistachio-green colored prismatic crystals of Epidote that show sharp faces and a "wet" luster. The upper portions of the crystals are a lighter hue than the rest of the prisms. The crystals also show a slighty "bent" habit, which is rare for Epidote. Great quality all around with only a few rough spots. These are hard to find, and if you collect European minerals, don't miss out on this one! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9178).
