Item Description
Knappenwand sets the world standard for epidote. The sharply terminated, highly lustrous, olive-green crystal is partially gemmy. It is complete all-around. The base of the crystal is broken and healed. The ding on the termination and the cleave on one side are noted. This remains a highly representativie and showy example of the species and famed locale. Most of these were found prior to the 1950s, and as far back as over 100 years ago.
