A classic and excellent Prince of Wales Island epidote and quartz miniature. A very sharp, 2.5 cm, dark olive-green epidote crystal with mirror-bright faces and flashes of gemmy fire is aesthetically accented with a cluster of glassy, water-clear, epidote-included quartz crystals and milky quartz crystals. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, just a bit of trivial edgewear is noted to the epidote and quartz crystals. Older 1960s or 70s-era material from the John Ydren Collection and has a 1960s-era $5 price tag!
