Epidote and Quartz

Item Description

Very fine, 'berber carpet' of deep green Epidote blades, on matrix. The Epidotes have such a good luster, there is almost an iridesence to them. They are about 1 mm thick, and can range up to about 6 or 7 mm across. There are several excellent, gemmy Quartz crystals emerging from the Epidotes, the largest and sharpest being 1.7 cm in size. This is simply the only one of these I have seen from this locality so all I can say is that it is pretty and worth more than the opening bid!
