Item Description
One of the best examples of Epidote that I've seen from this locality. It's a notably well-formed, sharp, smooth prismatic crystal with a notably rusty-red exterior, but shows a pistachio-green interior on the bottom where it's broken. The termination is contacted, but the rest of the crystal is actually very well-formed and even lustrous, which is not what one would expect at first glance. I can't remember if I've seen a crystal this big from Calvert Hill, so don't miss out on this oddity from Montana!
