Item Description
The prism faces and sharp chisel terminations are highly lustrous on this showy intergrown 360-degree epidote cluster. This older epidote miniature is from a lesser-known epidote locality in Baja California, south of the resort town of Ensenada. The very dark green crystals are actually slightly translucent - under bright light you can see flashes of green where light penetrates the lustrous faces or there is lighter olive-green epidote. Complete all-around. The three primary crystals are in great shape. The contacting, broken crystal and basal periphery wear are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions to this uncommon Mexican specimen. Valued by the former dealer at $250.
