Epidote

First-class, sharp, bladed crystal of Epidote from the famous and old (over 30 years ago) Namibian locale. The luster on this nearly black, tabular crystal is superb, and the faces have the typical lengthwise striations so often seen on Epidotes. In fact, if you look on the 'back' side, you can see that there were two generations of growth for this crystal. In the first generation, the striations are actually horizontal. The single termination is sharp, and the overall condition is good, with only the most minor amount of edgewear. An excellent specimen of a not very common species from this locality.
