From the area that produced some of the most exciting new Prehnites to come out in years. This specimen has no Prehnite, but it does consist of intergrown, rather thick dark brownish-green crystals of Epidote. A very attractive and highly displayable specimen of a species that is often overlooked in the mineral world. The piece could be called a "floater" I think as it is crystallized on all sides, and truly does not show any point of attachment.
