Epidote

Beautiful Alpine cleft specimen from Pakistan of a finely detailed stack of Epidote crystals displaying linear growth with complete terminations and well defined striations along the crystal faces. While the right side was constrained by matrix at its base, the left side grew a wonderful double terminated crystal measuring 8.3 cm long. The piece is in great condition with only a small bruise and a few micro nicks to a couple terminations. The Epidote crystals are highly lustrous with a dark green color, but come alive with a backlight showing areas of transparent, gem, olive green color that is contrasted with different hues and mottled textures throughout some of the thicker crystals.
