Epidote

Charming and unusual location specimen festooned with sharp, well defined, lustrous forrest green Epidote crystals up to 7mm in length on matrix. This piece comes from the uncommon location of the Malyi Kuibas iron mine in Russia. Many of the Epidote crystals have areas of an electric yellow-green gemmy flash under reflective light. This lovely Epidote has plenty of sparkle. The prismatic crystals are in great condition with only minor bruising and two small contact spots that don't impact the overall display in my opinion. The surface also has some undulating flow to it creating some depth to the display face. A really appealing specimen of Epidote from an uncommon locale. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl Collection.
