A very uncommon habit for Epidote! Wild material from a one time find over a decade ago! This is a tabular, pseudo-hexagonal crystal of Epidote with very simple forms where very well developed pinacoids are apparent at the front and back with tapered prism faces on the sides. The piece is a rich, opaque, pistachio green color so characteristic of the species. There are groups of Epidote crystals of similar character on the front and back of the piece for added character and texture. Nearly pristine with just a few tiny rubs, this is complete all around. From finds here in 2011. Note that many people were labelling these as pseudomorphs for years, as they are so bizarre and different from other epidotes. A floater, no point of attachment, this is like a green flower!
