Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of the Mica species, Ephesite, from the most famous locality for the material. The material gets it rich pinkish color from Lithium, but it's more intense than what one expects from any Mica species. This piece is from a find in the early to mid 1980's and features sharp, lustrous, gemmy to translucent bubble-gum pink groups of hexagonal Ephesite with minor black Lithiophorite and what I'm told is Mn-bearing Diaspore. Don't miss out on this one, as they are not common on the market. From the collection of Richard A. Kosnar.
