Item Description

A VERY RARE, rich and impressive large specimen from this granite pegmatite, known for phosphate species. The very sculptural plate is festooned with two generations of lustrous, translucent, reddish-brown terminated eosphorite prisms, to 2.0 cm and a rich peppering of nubby, yellowish-green balls of Greifensteinite or Zanazziite, rare complex Be-phosphates, members of the Roscherite Group. The matrix plate is interesting in itself, being graphic quartz. Obtained from respected Brazilian dealer Luis Menezes. An impactful large phosphate rarity valued at $1000-1500.
